The SBBC Choir
Formed in the early 1970s, the Singapore Bible Baptist Choir aims to enhance the spirituality of members of the church by providing inspiring choral music. It also helps in ministering by creating an atmosphere appropriate for worship and generating congregation praise to the Almighty.
The choir, comprising mostly working adults and students, sets the pace of church music aimed at edifying God's saints. Their faithfulness and talents, together with their exuberant enthusiasm, bring out much vitality in their music.
Its director, Allan Goh, is credited for raising the choir's level of excellence with a varied repertoire. Besides Sunday Specials, the Choir also performs on special occasions like Christmas, the Evangelistic and Missions Conference and the church anniversary celebration. The choir has also staged four cantatas, namely, Then Jesus Came, Christmas At Home, Jesus Lives! and Ten Thousand Hallelujahs.
Ten Thousand Hallelujahs was the climax of Singapore Bible Baptist Church's 40th Anniversary celebrations. This cantata, with its evangelistic theme, was to exemplify the real meaning of Christmas.
